Here's the full 1934 cartoon, "A Dream Walking" with the lovely Olive Oyl. One of the most brilliant bits of casting was Shelley Duvall as Olive in the 1980 live action version starring the late, beloved Robin Williams. That version is one of my favorite films, partly from childhood memories of watching the cartoon with my brother Dean. What's Popeye's middle name? (The.) More trivia from IMDb: This was Robin William's starring film debut, and his only comic book movie. Shelley Duvall was called "Olive Oyl" when she was in grade school. She sang all her own songs in the movie. It was also Linda Hunt's film debut. The set for the town of Sweet Haven was built at Anchor Bay on the Mediterranean island of Malta. An international construction crew of 165 worked seven months to construct the set. Tree trunk logs were driven across the European continent from the Netherlands, and wood shingles were imported all the way from Canada. Eight tons (7,257 kilograms) of nails and 2,000 gallons (7,571 liters) of paint were used to complete the set. When they finished, the fictional village of Sweet Haven consisted of 19 buildings, including a hotel, a schoolhouse, a store, a post office, a church, and a tavern. After filming, it became a popular tourist attraction. DEFINITION for this 4-syllable adjective:
