Just had to sneak one more Halloween-themed haiku in... voila!

Do an image search for "best costume"... It's ASTOUNDING the variety of creative, clever, ridiculous, silly, amazing, ballsy people in costume, particularly of course on Halloween.

The woman to my right gets my vote: a walking Picasso... genius! The lengths some go to create these works of art is truly incredible.

DEFINITION of the 4-syllable adjective:
  1. digressing from or unconnected with the main subject; random: a desultory remark.
  2. lacking in consistency, constancy, or visible order, disconnected; fitful: desultory conversation.

The Word of the Day comes from Dictionary.com. Use the word in your own haiku and add to the comments.

Improve your vocabulary and your haiku skills at the same time! If you don't know the definition, it's below, but see if you can figure it out from the haiku and/or image.

Poet and designer, David Alan Foster has been experimenting with haiku since the '70s. He has inspired (or possibly offended) many with said experiments.
