This is Derby with his second set of 3D-printed prosthetic front paws. The first, shorter set allowed him to run for the first time. This newer set allows him full mobility and the ability to sit and stand at a normal height. There are now all kinds of stories of animals and humans who are benefitting from 3D-printed limbs, hands and other "formerly-missing" parts. The many iterations of these devices are a fantastic collaborative to help make people and their pets whole again. Very cool stuff.

DEFINITION of this 4-syllable verb:
  1. to make whole again; restore to a perfect state; renew; reestablish.

The Word of the Day comes from Dictionary.com. Use the word in your own haiku and add to the comments.

Improve your vocabulary and your haiku skills at the same time! If you don't know the definition, it's below, but see if you can figure it out from the haiku and/or image.

Poet and designer, David Alan Foster has been experimenting with haiku since the '70s. He has inspired (or possibly offended) many with said experiments.
