if I'm saturnine
I am very far from fine
far like Saturn... whine!
Picture
... I used "whine" because it rhymes... more like screaming bloody murder for this criminal negligence.

And Flint is only the one in the headlines. There are many, many other cities in water crisis.

For my small part, I'm working to help promote Proteus Systems, a small company working for fifty years with a proven system that sequesters lead and reduces the effects of corrosive and toxic water.

DEFINITION of this 3-syllable adjective:
  1. sluggish in temperament; gloomy; taciturn.
  2. suffering from lead poisoning, as a person.
  3. due to absorption of lead, as bodily disorders.

The Word of the Day comes from Dictionary.com. Use the word in your own haiku and add to the comments.

Improve your vocabulary and your haiku skills at the same time! If you don't know the definition, it's below, but see if you can figure it out from the haiku and/or image.

Poet and designer, David Alan Foster has been experimenting with haiku since the '70s. He has inspired (or possibly offended) many with said experiments.
