I suppose the bit of Irish in me wouldn't like that I'm half English... but a quarter German, a splash of Scotch, a dip of French Canadian and a bite of Swiss spices things up a bit. But we're all truly a bit mixed up!

If we could only realize we're ALL a mix of cultures and nationalities going w-a-y back, we could collectively celebrate that we are ALL just human beings, and therefore not THAT much different.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

DEFINITION of this 4-syllable adjective:
  1. of, relating to, or characteristic of Ireland or its inhabitants; Irish.
  2. a native of Ireland.

The Word of the Day comes from Dictionary.com. Use the word in your own haiku and add to the comments.

Improve your vocabulary and your haiku skills at the same time! If you don't know the definition, it's below, but see if you can figure it out from the haiku and/or image.

Poet and designer, David Alan Foster has been experimenting with haiku since the '70s. He has inspired (or possibly offended) many with said experiments.
