3/19/2016

Comments

desiccate your fruit
not hope; deflate your ego
not your gratitude
Picture

An Irish blessing of gratitude:

"May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!"

DEFINITION of this 3-syllable verb:
  1. to become thoroughly dried or dried up.
  2. to dry thoroughly; dry up.
  3. to preserve (food) by removing moisture; dehydrate.

The Word of the Day comes from Dictionary.com. Use the word in your own haiku and add to the comments.

Improve your vocabulary and your haiku skills at the same time! If you don't know the definition, it's below, but see if you can figure it out from the haiku and/or image.

Poet and designer, David Alan Foster has been experimenting with haiku since the '70s. He has inspired (or possibly offended) many with said experiments.
