our new news hire's on the air
a criticaster !

I thought of Monty Python sketches, John Stewart, Steven Colbert and a host of people playing the news... and the great Ted Knight on the Mary Tyler Moore Show... (that's dating me). So many possible images to choose from!

DEFINITION of this 4-syllable noun:

an incompetent critic.
