It took Ray Harryhausen four months to produce the skeleton scene, a massive amount of time for a scene which lasts, at the most, three minutes. Ray Harryhausen, a pioneer in motion picture special effects, regards this as his best film. 

There is only one name that personifies movie magic - Ray Harryhausen. From his debut films with George Pal to his final film, he imbued magic and visual strength to motion picture special effects as no other technician has, before or since.   (From the IMDb website.)

DEFINITION of this 3-syllable noun:
  1. (sometimes initial capital letter) a person in quest of something dangerous but rewarding; adventurer.
